Location
Rotherham alongside its neighbour Sheffield is centrally located in England, and is the heart of special steel making in the UK. The region is renowned for heavy engineering and cutlery manufacture. Rotherham is dissected by the M1 motorway, the main arterial motorway connecting the north and south of England, and therefore benefits from easy access to all UK regions and seaports. This access provides RCES with excellent facilities for importing of raw materials and exporting of finished goods. A local airport and a good passenger and freight rail network also support the town.
Sales & Manufacturing
RCES is a well-established manufacturer of high quality ferro alloy powders for the welding industry worldwide. Our manufacturing facilities include crushing, grinding, screening and blending. In addition to its alloy powders division, the company's special steels division is also able to complement its welding customers with products such as carbon and stainless steel narrow strip, for welding electrodes and cored wires. Other steel products include abrasion resistant stainless steel plate for the power generation industry, plus a wide variety of carbon, alloy and stainless steels for general engineering purposes. RCES also offers customised toll processing, and welcomes enquiries to have your own material processed at our works.
Applications
RCES ferro alloy powders are consumed in applications such as bulk powder mixes for the hard-facing industry, used in products such as (overlay) steel plate, pipes and rolls, and provide an excellent wear resistant overlay. The company also sells alloy powders to the welding industry for use in products such as welding (stick) electrodes and flux-cored wires.
